Invite the candidates, pick the topics and set the answer time. FairStream keeps the speaking order and equal space for everyone, and can stream the debate to Facebook and YouTube.
Until 10 October 2026 all municipal debate features are free in the available community slots. A paid booking secures confirmed capacity in the priority slot you choose.
Choose the topics, rounds, answer length and rules.
Everyone gets a neutral link to join. No sign-up, nothing to install.
It runs the order and the equal time automatically. You focus on the content.
The whole walkthrough step by step: booking a slot, a dry run with a candidate and a live debate introduced by the moderator voice, which announces the question, the round and the speaker. Narration is in Czech.
Anyone with an account can create a debate: a candidate, an association, a local newspaper, the town hall or an active citizen. The organiser sets the topics, rounds and answer time, sends the invitations and decides about streaming and recording. The organiser is listed as the content controller of the debate.
Taking part is voluntary. A candidate joins through the invitation link, enters a name, tests the microphone and camera and confirms they know about the streaming and the recording. No account and no payment needed. FairStream never publishes or judges a declined invitation.
Timed rounds: every participant gets the same time on each topic, the order rotates (round robin) and the first speaker shifts with every topic, so nobody always starts. Free discussion: the organiser can open a free block without a timer at the end. The mode is visible to everyone in advance.
The time is measured by the server, not by a participant's browser. When the time runs out the speaker's microphone is muted and the next person gets the floor. The organiser cannot give one candidate extra time; the only option is to change the rules for everyone, which all participants see and which is written into the debate log.
Up to 10 participants in one debate including the organiser (typically 3 to 8 candidates or party leaders). Viewers do not join the room, they watch the stream on Facebook or YouTube.
The debate can be streamed live to Facebook (page or profile) and YouTube at the same time. A video recording is created; with a Guaranteed Slot you also get a transcript and an automatic summary, always marked as machine generated. The organiser downloads everything in the app.
Free and paid debates have the same features, the same picture and sound quality and the same time rules. They differ only in slot availability and the capacity guarantee.
Before booking, the organiser starts a dry run, sends the candidates a link and together they try out the topics, the order and the timer. Participants join without signing up. The dry run lasts at most 20 minutes, is not streamed publicly and produces no recording, transcript or summary. The debate settings and the invited participants stay saved for the real debate.
Try a dry runPrices apply from 29 August to 10 October 2026. This is an introductory offer for the municipal elections; the price of a confirmed booking does not change while it is valid. Biller: Happy Electronics s.r.o., company ID 278 79 782, prices in CZK, VAT 21 %.
| When counting starts | From the scheduled start of the debate (calendar time, Europe/Prague). The waiting room and the equipment check 15 minutes before the start do not count. |
|---|---|
| Length | 120 minutes of actual room time regardless of the number of participants, rounds or questions. We do not count “minutes per participant”. |
| After 120 minutes | Participants get a warning 10 minutes ahead. After the time and a 10 minute reserve the streaming and recording stop and the room closes. |
| Extension | Not possible during the debate. For a longer format book a second, following slot. |
| Participant dropout | Reconnecting neither stops the debate clock nor takes time from anyone. If a technical fault hit only one participant, the organiser can openly repeat the round for everyone. |
| Cancellation / no-show | See the cancellation rules below. An unused slot is not carried over. |
| FairStream failure | We replace a confirmed paid booking with another slot or refund the price. With Flex we offer a new community slot with priority. |
| Artefact | Created | Kept | Download | Earlier deletion |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Video recording | If the organiser turns recording on | 7 days from the end of the debate | Organiser, in the app | Any time by the organiser |
| Audio track | Together with the recording | 7 days | Organiser | Any time by the organiser |
| Transcript | Guaranteed Slot only, if recording is on | 7 days | Organiser (JSON/text) | Any time by the organiser |
| AI summary | Guaranteed Slot only, if the transcript is on | 7 days | Organiser (PDF) | Any time by the organiser |
| Technical logs | Always | 90 days | No | Per the Privacy Policy |
After the retention period we delete the files from our servers automatically. If you stream the debate to Facebook or YouTube, the recording on those platforms follows their rules and your account. The summary is always marked as automatically generated and is not an official statement of any candidate; every passage can be traced in the transcript.
Before entering the room every participant sees that the debate is recorded and where it is streamed, who the organiser is, how long we keep the data, who can download the recording and how to ask for a correction or deletion.
| Situation | Guaranteed Slot (CZK 190 incl. VAT) | Flex (CZK 0) |
|---|---|---|
| Organiser cancels 48 h or more before the start | Full refund | No penalty, the slot goes back to the waiting list |
| Cancellation less than 48 h before the start | One free move to another available priority slot; without a move the price is not refunded | No penalty |
| Moving the slot | Free once, subject to the calendar | Cancel and book again |
| The organiser does not show up | No refund | A second no-show in a row means 14 days without a new Flex booking |
| Invited candidates do not join | No reason for a refund; the debate can run with fewer people | The same |
| Facebook / YouTube failure | Not a FairStream failure; the debate and the recording continue | The same |
| Participant's internet failure | Not a FairStream failure | The same |
| FairStream failure or confirmed capacity not available | A replacement slot or a full refund, at the organiser's choice | A new community slot with priority |
Send complaints to support@fairstream.live with your booking number. We refund to the same payment method, usually within 5 working days.
We process the organiser's account (email, OAuth), the participant names entered when joining, technical connection data, payment metadata from Stripe and the recording or transcript according to the debate settings. A link from the Municipal Archive carries only the name and code of the municipality; we never infer from it who you are, which party you belong to or whether you are a candidate. Details: Privacy Policy.
When creating a political debate the organiser states who orders the debate and who pays for a paid booking. This is shown on the public debate page together with the time rules, the list of confirmed participants and whether it was a Flex or a paid booking. The page stays online after the debate.
FairStream does not use political profiles, targeting by political opinion or sharing of personal data back to the Municipal Archive. We only measure anonymous flow: page views, clicks on creating a debate, bookings made.
No. FairStream runs the order, the answer time and the microphones automatically according to the rules the organiser set in advance. A person can open and close the debate but does not have to watch the clock.
Taking part is voluntary. The debate runs with those who join. FairStream never publishes who declined; that is between the organiser and the candidate.
Not individually. The answer time applies to everyone equally. The organiser can only change the rules for the whole debate; the change is visible to all participants and is written into the public debate log.
Up to 10 participants including the organiser. For larger towns we recommend a debate of the party leaders or splitting it into several slots.
To Facebook and YouTube at the same time. Viewers watch there; only the debate participants join the room.
7 days from the end of the debate, then we delete them automatically. Until then the organiser can download them in the app or delete them earlier.
In the app you click “Dry run” on the debate. A test room opens for 20 minutes, candidates join with a link without signing up and you go through the topics, the order and the timer. Nothing is streamed or recorded; the settings and the participants stay saved with the debate.
The dry run (up to 20 minutes, no streaming or recording) for everyone. Until 10 October 2026 the whole debate including streaming and video recording is free in the available community slots (Flex). What is not free is the guarantee of a specific day and time and the transcript with the AI summary; those belong to the Guaranteed Slot.
Confirmed capacity in the slot you choose from the priority calendar, a wider choice of slots, priority support, faster processing of the recording, and the transcript with the AI summary. It buys no advantage in the debate itself.
If the fault was on our side we replace a paid booking with another slot or refund the price, and give a Flex debate a new slot with priority. A participant's internet dropout or a Facebook/YouTube failure is not a FairStream failure.
Whoever the organiser names as the client when creating the debate and, for a paid booking, whoever pays for it. The details are on the public debate page. Neither FairStream nor Happy Electronics sponsors any debate.
Setting it up takes a few minutes. You send the invitations with a single link.
