2. What we process and why
2.1 Organiser account
- E-mail, name, identifier and profile picture from Google or Facebook sign-in, or e-mail and (hashed) password.

2.2 Guests (invited participants)

2.3 Debate, streaming, recording, transcript and automatic summary

- If the organiser enables streaming: transmission to Facebook/YouTube under their account (OAuth tokens for these platforms are stored encrypted).
- If the organiser enables recording: video recording, audio, machine transcript (processor: speech-to-text provider) and automatic summary (processor: language model provider). Transcript and summary are labelled as machine-generated.
2.4 Payments
- Payments are processed by Stripe; we keep the payment identifier, amount, VAT, status, e-mail and billing details. We never see the card number.
- Purpose: performance of the contract, accounting and tax obligations.
2.5 Technical data

- Purpose: security, operation, incident handling. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
2.6 Website, cookies and measurement
- On the website we use Google Analytics 4 only with your consent (see Cookie Policy).
- A link from the Czech Municipal Archive carries only the municipality name and code and the visit source. We do not derive identity, political affiliation or candidacy from it and share nothing back to the archive.
- We do not use targeting based on political opinions or special categories of data and do not build political profiles.
2.7 Political transparency
- For political debates we publish the commissioning party/sponsor, municipality, election, rules and confirmed participants on a public debate page. Legal basis: performance of a contract and legal obligation/legitimate interest in transparency of political content.
3. Recipients and processors
- Stripe (payments), Google and Facebook/Meta (sign-in, streaming to YouTube/Facebook), LiveKit (real-time transport on our EU infrastructure), a speech-to-text provider and a language model provider (transcript and summary), an e-mail provider (transactional messages), Google Analytics (with consent only).
- Public authorities where required by law.
4. International transfers
Servers for transport, recording and storage run in the EU. Some processors (Stripe, Google, Meta, AI service providers) may process data outside the EU; transfers are safeguarded by standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
5. Retention
- Video recording, audio, transcript and automatic summary: 7 days after the debate ends, then automatic deletion. The organiser may delete earlier.
- Debate data (title, rules, participants, log) and the public transparency page: for the lifetime of the account and at least 12 months after the election the debate relates to.
- Organiser account: until deleted (see deletion instructions).
- Payment and accounting records: 10 years under Czech accounting and VAT law.
- Technical logs: 90 days.
- OAuth tokens for platforms: until the platform is disconnected or the account deleted.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and to withdraw consent. Guests may ask for correction of their name or erasure of their data from a recording to the extent technically possible at privacy@fairstream.live. You may lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.cz).
7. Security
Encrypted transport (TLS, SRTP), OAuth sign-in, encrypted token storage, an isolated room per debate, invitation links with random codes, recording access restricted to the organiser.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. We notify significant changes by e-mail or in the service.
