How Does It Work?
When planning a stream, simply select "Shorts (Portrait)" video format instead of the classic horizontal format. FairStream automatically:
- Sets resolution to 720×1280 (9:16) — ideal for mobile devices
- Optimizes layout for vertical display
- Highlights the active speaker with a green border
- Displays the current question and debate information
- Adds FairStream branding
💡 Tip for Content Creators
Vertical format is ideal for short, dynamic debates. Try debates with 3-5 questions of 30-60 seconds each — perfect length for viral content on social media!

Specifically for Shorts format, we've created a new debate layout with these features:

- Inactive participants — marked with red dot in corner
- Info panel — displays current question, time, and speaker

Where Can I Find This Feature?
The new Shorts format is available in all tiers (Free, Interview, Stream). When creating a new stream:
- Open Stream Planning
- In the "Video Format" section, select "Shorts (Portrait)"
- Continue with standard question and participant setup
- Start the stream — video will automatically be in vertical format!
